About the weekly tournament
One leaderboard, every game. The Anime Codex tournament turns the whole arcade into a single weekly competition: every ranked game keeps your best score, you earn a point for each player you outscore, and those points add up across games into one overall ranking. It rewards range — the player who shows up for trivia, Higher or Lower, Wordle and the rest will out-point a one-game specialist. New board every Monday, free, no account, just bragging rights.
Frequently asked questions
- How does the anime game tournament work?
- Play any of the ranked games on Anime Codex — trivia, Higher or Lower, Wordle, Word Search, Guess the Anime, and the Scavenger Hunt. Each game keeps your best score for the week, and you earn points for every player you beat in each game. Add those up and that's your overall rank.
- Do I need an account?
- No. It's free and account-free. Your scores are tied to a private per-browser identity; set a handle so the leaderboard shows your name instead of “Anon”.
- When does it reset?
- Every week. A new board starts each Monday (UTC), so everyone begins fresh and there's always a live race for the top.
- How do I climb the leaderboard?
- Play more of the games and beat more people in each. Because your overall score sums across every game, playing the whole set — not just your best one — is the fastest way up.
